Welcome back! Over the last few days, have you gone to bed excited to think about your future with all that extra money you have to make your 3 important things possible? It’s like trying to get a raise except that it’s a lot harder to get a 10,000+ raise just like that (although we’ll be talking about how to make it easier soon).
But we’re not done yet. Because today we’re going to see if you could get another 1000 each year. And in order to do that, we’ll cover 4 different things that you can do.
Cash Back Sites
If you’re shopping online, and you’re not using a cash back site, chances are there’s money to be gotten back. When it comes to cash back sites, usually they go to different companies to work out a deal for everyone they refer to the company’s site. And in return, they will get a small cut of that money. Then they go to us, the customers and tell us that they’re willing to give us a portion of that money in return for going through their site.
The most popular cash back site is shopback. I use them to buy everything on lazada, my bus tickets and even to top up my phone plan.
Credit cards are important to have. They are also dangerous if you are the type that keeps on spending. However, that’s a topic for another day.
The point is, when choosing a credit card, think about what it is you spend most of your money on and if it can be bought with a credit card. If it can, it means that you can get points or cash back by using the card. I recommend staying with cash back option if you can.
If you ever do any travelling out of Malaysia, you know the pain it is to exchange money and also to have the company charge some pretty big fees. Well, right now there’s a way to completely bypass that and it’s by using a company called BigPay.
BigPay is more like a debit card – you need to have money in your account before it works. However, once you do have money, you will be able to use the BigPay Mastercard to pay for items. But what makes this the ideal travel card is even if you were in another country and use the card to pay for stuff, it will charge you in ringgit and more importantly, it will not charge any fees (things can change, so be sure to sign up for the free weekly newsletter to stay up to date).
I’m personally planning to use this on my New Zealand trip next year.

If you’re like most people in Malaysia, you’re probably using one of those super big banks here and have your money in your savings account, which is giving you no interest really.
But there is one bank that will give you up to 4.1% interest for just leaving your money in their savings account. 4.1% on 10,000 is RM 410. That’s still a lot of money that more importantly, you did not have to work for.
So what is this bank? It’s called OCBC and you want to look for their 360 account.
And maybe start the application process today.
With those 4 tips, you could be getting another 1000 a year. Which is also way easier and within your control compared to trying to get a raise. However, even though you might have reclaimed 10,000+ already, you’re still on the tip of the iceberg. It can get much more exciting.
Ever wonder what the wealthy people have done to get to where they are? Well tomorrow you will find out and you will see how easy it is for you to follow in their footsteps as well.
